END THE LIES - create independent body to check veracity of statements from MPs.
Politicians regularly make false statements but are never held to account.
If a politician’s statement is found to be factually wrong, they should be made to publicly retract.
If a politician is found to be knowingly making false statements, this should be a criminal offence.

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you'd like to create an independent body, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like this body to do. There is already an independent Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards whose job is to oversee the Register of Members' Financial Interests and the Code of Conduct for MPs.
