Send humanitarian and military aid to protest camps in Sudan.
A council of army generals are set to rule the country for at least two years. In the process of maintaining order and security, they have launched attacks on protest camps in Khartoum killing over 100 (according to opposition) in order to disperse them. A media blackout has followed in Sudan.
President Bashir’s attempt to stop an economic collapse by introducing emergency austerity caused anger which lead to the military forcing him out of power in April.
Protest camps opposing military rule are being violently dissipated. Activists claim that female doctors have been raped, schools destroyed and bodies dumped in the Nile. These allegations should be investigated and taken seriously.
