Hold a General Election immediately following the selection of a new PM
Currently there are approximately 124,000 members of the Tory party, these people get to elect the new PM. However there are as of June 2019, 66,941,057 people in the UK which means that 66,817,057 have no say in who is responsible for running this country unless we have a general election.
So less than 0.19% of the population gets to choose who runs the country and will be in charge of the most important negotiations affecting us since the second world war.
0.19% of the population should not be in a position to decide who will run this country. Is it reasonable that such a tiny number of people get a say over the vast majority who live and work here and whose futures are going to be intimately affected by this decision?
It's time to demand an election.
