Reduced red tape when it comes to complaining about schools.

Petition Details

Making a complaint to the school about staff at the school is quite complex and can take time to resolve. Unacceptable if the child is unhappy there.
No support and closed ranks even as high as the school governor can cause mental illness or a child saying goodbye to friends if switching schools.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're note exactly sure what you mean by reduced red tape.

It's for individual schools to decide their procedures within the law. The Government has published guidance to schools, which you can read here:

www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-complaints-procedures/best-practice-advice-for-school-complaints-procedures-2019

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the Government or parliament to do.

If you start a new petition you'll need to use your full name or first initial and surname.
