No Heathrow third runway. Stop endless airport expansions for the environment.
Humans have already caused 1°C warming since pre-industrial times, with another 1.5°C expected in the coming decades. R1
Increasing Heathrow capacity will lead to aviation contributing 12.5% of UK's carbon emissions (up from 6.5%) by 2030. R2
The UK wants to be carbon-neutral in 2050. R3
We want the UK to stand up for the environment in a big way by not encouraging even more flights. We need lower emissions through better sustainable transport. We want more efficient, cheaper buses, trains and better cycling and walking infrastructure.
