Stop MPs from drinking alcohol or taking drugs at work.
Members of Parliament are currently permitted to drink alcohol during their working day. In no other comparable job affecting the welfare and security of the country is this acceptable or tolerated. The public has a right to expect MPs to be completely sober when they discharge their duties.
This petition calls for:-
A formal acknowledgement that Members of Parliament should not be under the influence of drink or drugs when they are working.
A parliamentary group to develop policies that bring alcohol and drug use by MPs, during the working day, into line with the arrangements and rules that apply to other public workers and professional groups such as judges, doctors and other healthcare workers.
Random drug and alcohol testing should be an integral part of this policy

Possession of illegal drugs is already an offence, so we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, for example to ban the sale and consumption of alcohol in the House of Commons, if that's what you'd like to see happen.
