Petition Action

Government must give ALL Councils around the Coastal Areas to be able to Fine

Petition Details

People for leaving their Litter on Beaches where it gets washed into the Sea, should be Common Sense but not in many cases seen, there needs to be a Fine of £200 Minimum to Deter those people, it is Lazy and Destroying our World and Marine Life.

Let’s try to keep Beaches looking Lovely for ALL

Additional Information

Humans have got to Protect what we have for the Future, so instant Fines should keep People more so the Lazy ones to Conform.

Let’s work together to help.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

Local authorities are responsible for addressing littering. They already have to keep land clear of litter "as far as is practicable" and are responsible for providing bins. They can also issue fixed penalty notices to people who drop litter, and prosecute people who don't pay the penalty. We aren't sure what further action you'd like the UK Government or Parliament to take.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
