Change the legislation for domestic violence and rape against men.
Why is this an issue?
Men are not represented enough in the law regarding male rape and domestic violence.
When you search for domestic violence legislation you will be met with laws about womens' domestic rights which means men are not represented as victims, only as perpetrators.
The number of male victims went up from 4,803 in 2016 to 6,764 in 2017
Figures from the Office for National Statistics estimate there were around 713,000 male victims of abuse in the year ending March 2017.
Men are not represented enough in the law regarding male rape and domestic violence.
We want the law to change so it can be a universal legislation for both men and women. This is an urgent situation that needs to be dealt with now.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you'd like changes to the law, but we are not sure exactly what changes you'd like.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
