Shorten the working week.
Working 5 days a week is far too long and can be very draining especially on the young people starting off after having short days at school. A lot of people dread going to work which causes a lack of motivation. By shortening the working week to 4 days, there will be less sick days. See below......
People will be happier coming into work enhancing performance as they are more likely to get the work done. Studies show that 12.7% of all sickness absence days in the UK can be attributed to mental health conditions. Less working days means more time with family increasing mental health. Personally, having a 3 day weekend in the past has left me feeling refreshed and ready to start the week with a positive manner.
