Introduce a fit & proper test for all potential & sitting MPs, MEPs
Brexit has exposed the current system for monitoring the suitability of U.K. politicians as woefully inadequate, I propose a fit & proper test be introduced immediately to all current & future politicians.
Here are some examples of standards that politicians should be made to adhere to...
REPUTATION : does the politician have a clean criminal record & no history of irregularities that can be used for bribery & “whipping” systems in parliament.
COMMITMENT : UK political representatives should ONLY serve in that role and cease current or future comments out side of government & constituency’s to avoid conflicts of interest.
HONESTY : politicians should of never knowingly of lied to the public in the past and face bi elections if found to of lied while in office.
