Petition Action

Delivery services to identify customers with dogs, to protect drivers and dogs.

Petition Details

New clauses needed for dangerous dog act. A driver failed to check if anyone was home and entered the garden. He knew dogs were at the property as delivered the day before. It is unfair a dog cannot be free in its own home as companies do not hold policies with regards to driver safety and dogs.

Additional Information

A driver entered my garden without going to the front door to see if anyone was home, back door was open as my father was home and our garden is secure, my dog ran out and jumped up and ripped the drivers trousers and cut his leg with his paw, he did not bite, just wanted to play. Had the driver checked at the front door if anyone was home this wouldn’t have happened. Delivery companies do not have any policies regarding customer dogs and driver safety, causing distress to both owners and driver
