Remove Wanstead Flats from City of London Corporation (Open Spaces) Act 2018
The City of London is using a change in the law to make money out of the open spaces of Wanstead Flats, which is a haven for wildlife and has been enjoyed by the local community for decades.
However, a festival event company is seeking to use the space and pay the Corporation to do so.
The space is far too close to residents housing and the vast majority do not want it literally on their doorsteps. Consultations have so far been a farce.
