Make Reusable Sanitary Towels Part Of Textiles In Primary And Secondary Schools.
Give girls and young women the opportunity to make their own reusable sanitary towels in school lessons. Reducing period poverty and reducing the impact of disposables being thrown away each year.
Period Poverty is a real thing. Pads, tampons and cups don't come cheap and for those in particularly in a lower income house, buying these can be a challenge. With ages being between 10 and 16 that girls start their menstrual cycle, schools should be getting more involved in aiding young women in their period, especially when a lot of their days are of course, spent in school. In the midst of a climate crisis, should we be encouraging them to use reusables!

This would be a decision for schools and not the UK Government or Parliament.
