Have a public holiday to commemorate Sir Francis Drake. Due to his heroicness.
Hello, today I will be proposing to pass a bill to have a days holiday commemorating Sir Francis Drake. I believe he is a very important figure in English culture and is important for the next generation to learn about him. This holiday should either be on the day he was born(13th July) or
the day he won us the Spanish Armada(20th April) on this day he attacked Cadiz and this influenced the victory over the Spanish that has shaped our country into what it is today.I have completed a variety of surveys throughout the past 6 months. All the responses are for this day and the English public say he has inspired them to be who they are today.
