Petition Action

Make a law of "Parliament in contempt of the public".

Petition Details

In cases where Parliament does not support the will of British citizens there should be a method by which the people can hold Parliament in contempt of the people.

Additional Information

There are cases where Parliament does not follow the wishes of the people eg. the current Brexit situation, also amongst many other things assisted suicide but Parliament do not support these either.
This would be a way to prevent any government or Parliament acting against the majority of citizens.
This could be brought about by petition, perhaps by the number of signitaries equalling the number of votes each government came to power with.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

It’s not clear what your petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition stating clearly what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
