Prevent a 3-storey storage and distribution warehouse being built in Silvertown
Plans for a three-storey lorry distribution centre in Silvertown have been submitted to Newham Council.
There will apparently be “1,244 arrival and departure LGV trips and 69 arrival and departure HGV trips per day”
The facility will create many more HGV journeys through Silvertown Tunnel & Greenwich borough, near the 3000-home Royal Wharf, a large housing development named Thameside Wharf recently proposed close to the site, & other housing developments in the vicinity. A new block of flats is directly next to this site & plans for 1,000 homes at Deanstone Wharf are approved
The new distribution centre will bring unbearable levels of pollution & noise to this previously quiet residential & leisure area
