Regulate franchisors and business franchising in the UK
Franchising is growing in the UK and is generally aimed at individuals new to business. As it is unregulated, some franchisors have unfair agreements and terms which need control. The growing trend of franchising means more and more people are becoming locked into potentially unfair agreements.
Many businesses are franchised in the UK, including estate and letting agents, car dealerships, restaurants, hotels, service businesses and many more and franchising is growing. I call for regulation for the purpose of making franchise agreements balanced and there should be better exit options for franchisees.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to regulate franchises.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
