To ensure all major national sports are broadcast on terrestrial television.
The 2019 Cricket World Cup success for England was experienced by many, thanks to the final being aired on Channel 4. It is inevitable that this occasion will inspire the population to take up new sports, and thus, major sporting fixtures & events should be broadcast on free-to-view TV.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you'd like more sports to be shown on free-to-air television, but we aren't sure what other sporting events you'd like to make free to view.
You could start a new petition calling for the list of sporting events which have to be shown on free-to-air terrestrial television to be changed to include all specific national games if that is something you would like to see happen.
