Ban all instances of advertising for Gambling. Step one is to ban TV adverts.
Gambling is a major problem for this country and incurs costs to the taxpayer upwards of £1.2 billion per year.
In 1965 the British government banned TV advertising of cigarettes.
Gambling adverts do not belong on the television, children are exposed to these adverts whilst watching live sports.
Many gambling adverts promote it as glamorous - this is highly irresponsible, it is highly addictive for some people and it has heavy links to mental health issues and homelessness.
