Have the working conditions of sweatshops reconsidered in favour of human rights
Worldwide, there are many people who put in valuable work but receive a fraction of their true earning. This issue isn’t reported on as much as it should be - due to the common response of ‘there already are laws’. Consequently, this petition can highlight the problem which is often shadowed.
Studies show that some people are willing to pay more for items which they know are made under healthy working conditions. Therefore, there is no excuse for sweatshops to still exist in 2019.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand you're concerned about sweatshops, but we're not sure exactly what you want the UK Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
