Lower Freeform Food Prices! Nobody should suffer financially for their health.

Petition Details

The Freeform Food Sector has improved greatly for those with Coeliac Disease and other intolerances, but the product prices within stores remain expensive.

To give an example - Asda's Square Cut Medium White Bread (800g) costs only 89p; meanwhile Genius Gluten Free White Bread (535g) is £2:50.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The prices of these foods are the responsibility of retailers, not the UK Government or Parliament.

If you'd like the UK Government to make it easier for people with Coeliac disease and other intolerances to buy these foods, you could start a new petition asking for the specific action that you'd like to see.
