Petition Action

Demand a general election in the wake of the conservative leadership election.

Petition Details

The new Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, does not have a mandate to govern from the people. The conservative majority is weak and dependent on the DUP. Johnson’s manifesto on Brexit does not reflect the will of the people which has changed towards Brexit since negotiations have stalled.

Additional Information

Johnson called for a general election following the ascension of Gordan Brown.
The political climate relating to Brexit has changed completely following the economic realities that Brexit will lead to.
