Include hard-wired fire alarms, emergency lighting and fire doors in all new-build properties.

Additional Information

Adding fire protection to homes after they have been built is expensive. This should be a requirement for all new-build homes.

Fire doors will also restrict the spread of noise throughout the home. Door closers are not needed as they can be added at little cost if the home-owner desires them.
