Supermarkets to display whether an items packaging is fully recyclable or not
Supermarkets and superstores should be ordered to display a sign that tells its customers whether an item is fully recyclable or not. This should be displayed next to the items price.
This will ultimately guide consumers and manufacturers to a greener packaging solution.
Manufacturers of packaging are using too much plastic that takes hundreds of years to degrade. The environment is suffering from litter as a result. I believe that by displaying a sign next to the items price, we would not only encourage consumers to go for the greener option but also force manufacturers to consider how they package their products.
