Petition Action

Any vote by Parliament to leave the EU must be subject to a people’s vote.

Petition Details

Leaving the EU in any way, either by parliamentary vote or election manifesto, must be subject to a people’s vote with the option to Remain in the EU on the ballot. It must exclude the option of a No Deal.

Additional Information

Deliberate obfuscation over what constituted the “will of the people”by those wanting Britain to leave the EU conflicts with the reality of polls showing Remain ahead & growing.
2 million of 17.4/53 million have died.2016 16 & 17 year olds are now voters & 3/4 of them are Remainers. The country is a Remain majority nation without doubt,as polls, petitions & people’s marches show. MPs if they are indeed the servants of the people,as the PM declared on 26 July 2019, should Revoke A50,& allow PplsVt

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure whether you'd like the Government to revoke article 50 or whether you'd like to have a second referendum on any deal agreed with the EU.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
