Oblige China to abide by the 1984 Sino-British Joint Declaration on Hong Kong
There is evidence in the public domain that freedoms of speech, of the press and of assembly are being systematically denied in Hong Kong and that democratically-elected members of the legislature have been excluded on bogus grounds. Protests about current legislation have been met with violence.
