Introducing a stamp duty break for over 50's property downsizers or appropriate sizers would bring many benefits. It would free up much needed family sized property, helping younger generations, reinforcing the current first-time buyer stamp duty break. It would give the property market a much needed boost. Many over 50's remain in their larger or unsuitable properties because the cost of moving is too much. A stamp duty break would enable more people to move into a more appropriate property
