Petition Details

Many parliament debates are televised and are available to the public but all have the MP's in smart dress which is not indicative of the population. As such i call on this petition so the MP's can dress in a sense more representative of the people rather than the 1%.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you mean by street clothes.

You could start a new petition requesting the removal of a dress code for Members speaking in the House of Commons, if that's what you'd like to see happen.
