Petition Action

Introduce a legal maximum temperature

Petition Details

As we know, we had the highest temperature on record on Wednesday Thursday 25th July, being 38.2 degrees. People who work out in these temperatures, (post people, builders, bus drivers, etc), don’t always have constant access to cold water.

Additional Information

Working in that heat was very excruciating and there was known reports of post people collapsing due to not getting sufficient fluids. As of this, there needs to be a legal maximum temperature to work in as soon as possible. It is not safe, and some vans don’t even have working air conditioning.
