Give Kashmir the referendum they were promised in 1949 by the united nations

Petition Details

There was a war between India and Pakistan over Kashmir that started on the 22nd October 1947 and ended on 5th October 1949. On April 21, 1948, a U.N. resolution said a plebiscite should be held in Kashmir on joining India or Pakistan. No such vote has ever been held.

Additional Information

100,000+ dead over 7 decades, 3 wars between 2 nuclear-armed states, and countless human rights violations - Kashmir continues to be the heavily occupied and militarised region with the recent spikes between India and Pakistan. Rape, mass murders and fear haunts every innocent being living here. The only thing they ask for is independence and freedom from oppression. The lives of these helpless civilians are now in your hands.
