Make double crewing the norm for Police and strengthen sentencing guidelines
Attacks on police personnel have increased. Police officers deserve the protection of society. Actioning these changes would send a message of social justice and respect for police personnel.
As the parent of a service police officer, I have experience of the physical and psychological impact on the individual and their family of a savage attack. Every day, we wonder if today will be the day we get the dreaded call . Every day, we support our loved one to go back out there and do a difficult job with pride and confidence. We see at first hand how that confidence has been eroded by government policy and we ask Parliament to begin to right this injustice
