Increase break periods in hospitality for people who work long hours
People in hospitality often work 12, 14 or even 15 hour shifts. The law states that an employee is entitled to a 30 minute rest period after 6 hours of work. However, when working a 15 hour shift, 30 minutes is affecting the health of workers due to not eating properly and being overworked.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you'd like legal minimum breaks to be longer for people working long shifts, but we're not sure exactly what changes to the law you'd like to see.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
