Abandon the plan to issue a 50p coming to “celebrate” leaving the EU.
As about half the population do not wish to leave the EU it is insensitive and inflammatory to issue a 50p coin to “celebrate” leaving the EU. It is also a complete waste of money designing and producing such a coin. Please abandon such plans.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Coins are manufactured and issued by the Royal Mint, not the UK Government or Parliament.
