Introduce a yearly country wide, mandatory 'Lights Out' event.
With light pollution as high as it is, for years people have missed out on all the night sky has to offer, during the summer months the centre of the milky way is visible to the naked eye but is always out of sight.
Once a year for an hour I propose all street lights and bright light emitting objects be turned off for people to see what most have only seen in photographs.
This would present a fantastic opportunity for all and may inspire younger generations for a future in a scientific field.
