Increase Taxes On Unhealthy Food, Alcohol & Tobacco
Obesity levels in the UK have reached an unacceptable level and, occurring to recent data, they are only going to get worse in the coming years.
This has been fuelled by the cheap prices of junk food, alcohol in supermarkets and cigarettes.
Taxes on companies which produce and market these products must be increased significantly, in order for prices to rise and discourage of new products being created that will harm people's health.
This would ultimately lead to a reduction in the consumption of these harming products and an increase in health of the population, which will save valuable NHS resources.
