Bring back grants for nursing training and pay trainees for their placements
Nurses spend 40-hour weeks on placements as well as studying but this work is unpaid - and the nursing bursary has been turned into a loan. Trainee nurses should either be paid a fair wage for working or have all their tuition and maintenance costs covered by the government.
