Laws to protect the children of social media ‘Influencers’ from exploitation.
There is currently no legislation in place that protects the rights of children who’s lives are featured on social media, namely the children of ‘influencers’ who have scant regard for their children’s privacy, and in some cases their welfare.
Child actors and models are afforded such protection.
In light of recent events I believe that the time has come to implement such laws in order to protect the human rights of these children.
There is currently no safeguarding in place, no provisions for their privacy, welfare, or their mental health.
They are being exploited and their privacy invaded for the sake of their parents, and the lucrative business’ that they have created.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly how you'd like the law to change.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
