Grant Teesside a share of the 35m violence reduction grant.

Teesside has missed out on a share of £35m to fight serious violence, despite having some of the worst rates in the country. The Home Office has announced that 18 Police and Crime Commissioners would receive grants for multi-agency violence reduction units. Cleveland Police's is not among them.

Additional Information

The murder rate rose to its highest level since figures first published. For its population, the death toll in the area for 2018 was among the worst.
