A service needed regarding Autism SEN n LD with home schooled children
As it stands there is no service offered for children who are home schooled awaiting a formal diagnosis of autisum, children who have special educational needs (SEN) or learning difficulties.
At this moment in time the child must be attending school in order to go through the nessicary steps.
BUT What if there is no suitable school in your area or your child has experienced bullying due to being different or can't cope in school environment ie loud noise to bright ,dont feel safe etc and then has a meltdown each time you try to get them to go
Children who are home educated should be able to have the relevant services coming out to their homes to do the nessicary steps in a safe and calm environment for them, not be pushed into going somewhere they really can't cope with.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you're concerned about home-schooled children with special educational needs, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
Parents of home-schooled children can request an Education, Health and Care needs assessment, which may ultimately result in an Education, Health and Care Plan, so we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could get advice from the Independent Provider of Special Education Advice. You can find out more here:
