TO STUDY THE GERMAN ECONOMIC MODEL FOR DEBATE IN PARLIAMENT
The serious economic problems besetting the United Kingdom and much of the Western World, together with the dire warnings given by the Chancellor of Exchequer and the Governor of the Bank of England that the problems are likely to persist for a number of years ahead has left many UK citizens having to face the prospect of prolonged hardship and despair.
The latest unemployment figures for Germany shows a fall in the month of December 2011 to a two decade low and their economy still grows. The question has to be asked if the United Kingdom can draw some lessons from that nations’ economic model.
This petition calls on the Government to undertake a study of the German economic model and to report its’ findings to Parliament for debate.Germany has been able to protect its' manufacturing.Unions are encouraged. They operate programs to counter the effects of recession.Their constitution allows workers a say in everything from pay to working conditions.
