Petition Action

Get rid of single use plastics! Make plastics recyclable or change materials!

Petition Details

Our planet is suffering. Animals are suffering. It’s time to make a change! Bring things forward and actually do something about all the single use plastics and non recyclable items that are being wasted and thrown into our oceans, killing our planet! We can make a BIG change, so why aren’t we?

Additional Information

Each year the world uses on average around 300 million tonnes of plastic. Currently, only 9% of the world’s plastic is recycled - a problem because most plastics are not biodegradable and takes more than 400 years to degrade. It’s affecting our animals in the ocean massively, from tiny corals to majestic whales, more than 700 marine species are known to be killed either by the ingestion of plastic or entanglement - resulting in more than 100 million animal deaths a year, that we know of.
