Petition Action

Demand deliberate harm to the environment become an international crime

Petition Details

Demand the UK Government initiate discussions at the UN and with its allies immediately for the creation of an International Convention on Crimes Against the Environment and for such crimes to be treated as crimes against humanity.

Additional Information

International law is needed to protect the livelihoods of citizens globally from the few perpertrators of environmental crimes who threaten genocide and irreversible destruction of habitat.

The burning of the Amazon rainforest is an international emergency and signals a call to action. We can no longer turn a blind eye to the fact that our climate is in crisis. The UK must be a world leader and take bold action to protect our environment. We demand this be debated in Parliament.
