Make front of house drug testing facilities mandatory at larger music festivals
Following the recent deaths at UK music festivals, I believe there should be greater healthcare and harm reduction facilities at larger UK music festivals.
Although drugs are illegal, some people will still choose to take them. Allowing people to know the strength, purity and any potential contamination in their drugs will give them the information they need to prevent overdoses and dangerous reactions to contaminants. Additionally, individuals can discuss the risks of drug use with a trained volunteer.
Front of House testing from organisations like the Loop, working alongside medics & welfare, can prevent the harm associated with drug use.
