Completely Cancel Conference Recess 2019
Parliament is scheduled to resume sitting after the Summer Recess on 3rd September. Unless it votes otherwise, Parliament will again go into Recess - this time for for Party Conferences - from the middle of September until the second week of October.
At this time of national crisis, Parliament should continue to sit.
Last year Conference Recess ran from 13th September to 9th October, a period of 3 weeks and 5 days). This means that nearly half of the remaining Parliamentary time before the Brexit date of 31st October would be unavailable for debate. . It is perfectly feasible for Party Conferences to be arranged around this change in practice.
