The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
An investigation would be the responsibility of the police. You could start a new petition calling for a clear action that is the responsibility of the Government or Parliament. For example, a petition calling for a public inquiry.
There are petitions about the broader issue which you might like to sign. You're more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
