Abolish the monarchy for being constitutionally ineffective.
Today the prime minister was able to prorogue parliament and thus prevent parliamentary review at a critical time when constitutional change is being made. As the Queen did not refuse to prorogue parliament to prevent this anti-democratic abuse, the monarchy has no purpose and should be abolished.
The monarchy should provide a backstop to ensure democracy is upheld. If this is not done even in this most extreme case then there is no point having a monarchy and it should be abolished.
