Limit prorogation of parliament to 4 days to stop misuse of prerogative powers
Currently the Sovereign can prorogue parliament on the advice of the Government, in order to restrict debating time for elected members of parliament.
This can be used to ‘bypass’ parliament in certain circumstances and there is no reasonable or practical reason why prorogation should take longer than 4 days.
