Petition Action

UK Parliament is supreme over Scottish Parliament. HMG should not allow Scotland to be a sovereign state if not in UK’s best interest. It’s No Brainer

Additional Information

One must not ‘shoot oneself in the foot’. Westminster Parliament represent all UK citizens (including those in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) and should not give away rights (like full sovereignty) to devolved governments if not in UK’s best interest. An independent Scotland would need to perform the functions of a sovereign government, including those of defence, membership of EU, foreign policy, momentary & budgeting policies, trading links, new passports for Scottish Citizens & driving licence, immigration control, etc, as well as financing healthcare, education, policing, law and order, social services, transport, sports, etc.
