Petition Details

Johnson wants to force the hand of parliament, we the public of the United Kingdom call on MPs to stand up to Boris and vote no confidence in Her Majesty's government. Brexit or no this is not the British way, it echoes Trump. We are the UNITED KINGDOM NOT STATES.

Additional Information

Before we continue what will be a huge step in our history the public deserve to choose the leader to take us forward. This is the second PM we have not elected. The current government has been unable to secure a deal. 78% of the British public state they have no confidence in the government it is time they listen.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for Ministers, including the Prime Minister, to resign or for a vote of no confidence.

We used to accept petitions that called for a vote of no confidence. However, the Petitions Committee can’t schedule votes of no confidence. This was often frustrating and disappointing for petitioners.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could start a petition about that.
Petitions calling for action on policy are more likely to be an effective way of achieving the change you want.
