The removal of 'Songs of Praise' from the BBC
I petition for the removal of 'Songs of Praise' from the BBC. As a non-biased entity, the BBC supposedly prides itself on impartiality. However, how can a corporation set these standards out in their charter and only cater to one specific religion? Let's remove all religious programming and stop wasting licence fee payers money on such dismal, fruitless tripe!

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This is a matter for the BBC.
It is a long-standing principle that the Government does not interfere in programme matters, either on arrangements for scheduling or on content. It is important to maintain the principle of freedom of expression which political interference could undermine.
